Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how Ranked Bedwars collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares your data when you use our Services — including the Minecraft server, Discord server, website, and store.

This Policy uses the same definitions as our Terms of Service. By using our Services, you agree to the practices described here. Players under the legal age to form a binding contract must have a parent or guardian read and consent to this Policy on their behalf.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account & Identity

We collect and store:

• Your Discord account ID
• Your email address
• Your Minecraft account UUID(s), usernames, and username history
• Discord avatar, banner, username, linked connections, and "other information associated with your account"
• Your account status, staff roles, and entitlements
• Two-factor authentication settings (whether TOTP is enabled and the TOTP secret which is stored securely and never exposed)

2.2 Network & Device Data

• IP addresses and user-agent/device metadata — Used for security, abuse prevention, fraud detection, and account integrity checks.
• Authentication tokens — OAuth provider tokens used to sign you in via Discord are stored temporarily and rotated on refresh.

2.3 Player performance and game statistics

The following is recorded during and after each match and aggregated across seasons:

• Kills, deaths, final kills, beds broken, damage dealt, and kill/death ratio
• Wins, losses, win/loss ratio, MVPs, and streaks
• Match playtime, team assignment, and game outcome
• Rating and rank history (including internal matchmaking factors)
• Peak rating and rank achieved per season

2.4 Preferences & Cosmetics

• In-game hotbar and quick-buy layouts saved on the Minecraft server
• Cosmetics owned and which are currently equipped
• In-game currency (Emeralds) balance

2.5 Transaction & Store Data

Records of store purchases and active entitlements (e.g., subscriptions) are retained to manage your access, handle support requests, and comply with financial obligations. Payment processing is handled by Tebex — see Section 6.

2.6 Moderation & Punishment Records

When a punishment is issued, we store the reason, severity, issuing staff member, associated game (if applicable), and relevant timestamps. Restriction records (active gameplay or communication bans) are also retained.

2.7 Guild & Party Data

Guild membership, role, experience contribution, and join date are stored for as long as you are a member. Guild and party data are transient and not retained after they are disbanded or after you leave. However, the party you were in when playing a non-private game is retained.

3.1 Right to be Forgotten

You may request account deletion by opening a support ticket. Requests are processed within 30 days, and confirmation will be sent via Discord DM. Some data may be anonymized rather than fully deleted where required for service integrity (see Indefinite Retention above). Once deleted, you will no longer be able to access our Services with that account, and as per our Terms of Service, you will not be allowed to create any new accounts.

3.2 Right of Access

You may request a copy of the data we hold about you by opening a support ticket. Requests are handled within 30 days.

3.3 Right to Rectification

If data we hold about you is inaccurate, contact us via a support ticket. We aim to resolve rectification requests within 30 days.

This Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and how long it is retained. For further questions, see the Contact section.

4. Data Protection

Ranked Bedwars takes the following measures to protect your data:

• User data is stored in our own databases, protected by firewalls and network security controls to prevent unauthorized access.
• Data stored on Discord is secured through Discord's role-based permission system. Only relevant staff roles have access to sensitive channels and logs.
• Staff are required to enable two-factor authentication on both discord and the Minecraft server.
• Authentication tokens and session data are stored securely and expire automatically.

5. Data Breaches

In the event of a data breach, we will investigate promptly, mitigate impact, and notify affected users and regulators as required by applicable law (including EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA where applicable).

6. Third-Party Services

Ranked Bedwars uses the following third-party services. Data shared with these parties is governed by their own privacy policies.

6.1 Tebex

Purchases on our store are processed by Tebex. They handle payment processing and may collect billing and personal information. Consult the Tebex Privacy Policy for more information.

6.2 Discord

Our Discord server and OAuth login are powered by Discord. Some data (messages, roles, logs) is stored on Discord's infrastructure and is subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.

6.3 Mojang

We send your UUID to Mojang to get your Minecraft username. Consult Mojang's Privacy Policy for more information.

6.4 ipinfo.io

We use ipinfo.io to infer your country and region at registration.

6.5 Cloudflare

We use Cloudflare to help protect our services and analyze traffic.

6.6 Umami

We use Umami to analyze traffic on our website. Umami does not collect any personally identifiable information and anonymizes all data collected. Users cannot be identified and are never tracked across websites.
